Four chords, a thousand songs — and a lot of promises.

The asymmetry is real: a great many well-known songs get by on a handful of chords. But the promises ("every song with four chords," "in a week") skip the actual work. Knowing the shapes is easy; switching between them cleanly and in time takes weeks.
