Tapping (t)

A t means tapping: a finger of the picking hand taps straight onto a fret and sounds the note, instead of picking it. Combined with hammer-ons and pull-offs it makes fast runs over wide fret jumps. Tutorials throw this in at the first "how does this solo go?" — and without the sign the rest is unreadable.
