What the tools take on

These three principles are exactly where the practice tools come in — not by watching and explaining like a video, but by carrying the targeted practice. You could call it a boot camp for practicing: didactics (the sensible order, what comes first), repetition (the targeted drill that lays down muscle memory pathway by pathway), and slow, clean tempo (not as torment, but because it's the fastest route). The Chord Change Trainer takes a single change out and counts along: isolation and tempo control in one. The Fretboard Trainer has you find individual notes on purpose instead of hunting "somehow." The Strumming Trainer builds a strum pattern beat by beat, at a held tempo. That's the part a video can't do: a video plays on whether you keep up or not. A tool holds the tempo, waits, and shows where you stand. Once you have the strumming down, you build your own patterns in the Strumming Composer — the trainer drills, the composer builds.
